Yogavita Blog April 2015: a concrete action to preserve a calm mind at work

Conciousness of our seated posture & breath 
Inhale slowly
Exhale slowly
After a yoga for well-being at work seminar this morning, one lady told us that an email that had disturbed her whole morning.  This prompted me to write this blog.
For those who want to be able to take a step back, preserve a calm mind & have more clarity in daily life , do read on....


Bring your awarencess to the soles of your feet,
The contact of the feet against the floor
Roll on to the front of the sitting bones
The lower back is arched
Tuck your chin in
Draw the neck back
The trunk  & rib cage  expand and open

Inhale slowly through the nose
Exhale slowly through the nose
The inhale nourishes
The exhale cleanses
The first step
To become aware 
How are we breathing?
Life begins with one breath
Life ends one brearh
Yet it is often forgotten

Breathe slowly & deeply 
calm the mind
Breathe slowly & deeply 
dissolve stress
breathe slowly & deeply
nourish the body &  mind

Take a few short breaks in your day
For 3 to 12  slow, deep breaths
