A few days ago at the local library
I asked the assistant to direct me to the book i was looking for
he replied «you are cold»
I asked the assistant to direct me to the book i was looking for
he replied «you are cold»
I paused for a moment,
had i been too direct ? rude?
Then it dawned on me
hot , cold , warm!
I hadn’t played that game in years,
We laughed & happily played our way to the book
what could have been a banal exchange
became light and enjoyable
for us both
Cultivating lightness, being in the present moment
Comes more easily to some than others
Day to day worries ...
Life is not always a bed of roses
Even in the absence of a genuine reason to worry,
the mind-ego likes to worry
In moments of anxiety or stress
I have asked myself
«what would you be thinking about if you weren’t worrying? »
How can we cultivate lightness in our daily lives?
Today I want to share a summary of tools & approaches to make space for lightness & serenity.
- Focus on concrete actions that need to be taken to alleviate worry & stress.
- Remember the buddhist adage «the only thing that is permanent is change» . We can learn first to accept that which is happening. Observe then that it too will pass.
- Remind ourselves, constantly, to live fully in the present moment.
- Choose «sankalpa» positive affirmations to direct the mind. Words are energy. Remember Yoga wisdom « Is it your mind that controls you , or you who controls your mind?»
- Do Yoga regularly to tap into your inner power, keep the body in good shape & renew your energy.
- Do yoga to unite the breath & body.
- Take breath breaks to stay centred & calm.
- Sing your heart out: Mantras, gospel, ...whatever you enjoy.
- Dance, move, walk barefoot in nature, marvel at the perfection & beauty of nature.
With regular practice & determination, we can create space for more lightness & joy.
For all those seeking a greater sense of well-being, balance and serenity in their daily lives I propose private yoga classes(bilingual) in the comfort of your home.
Why do private yoga classes?
To learn & practice practical yoga techniques to manage stress, anxiety, insomnia..
To know your body better & find your inner vitality thanks to the postures.
To find well-being in your daily life thanks to better breathing.
To share a well-being moment with a friend, with family....
